In the 8th season, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son David Zayas, Jr. replaces his father in some of the footage, as they look remarkably similar.. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in the second season, the scar moved to the right side, leaving the left side intact..
